Rainy, Sleepy Day (or so we thought)
This morning there were amazing thunderstorms here in Northampton. Garin fooled us into thinking that he might take a nap downstairs (after he refused to go to sleep upstairs in bed).
"I have my blanket and pillow . . . and I'm really sleepy . . . I'll make my nest"
"I'll lie down for a moment . . .
and I might fall asleep . . . PSYCH!"
"Maybe in my "baby cage" . . . nope, even if you make it nice and dark, I'll pop back up!
No nap for me today!"

Garin loves to eat
One thing hasn't changed this summer, Garin still loves to eat. Here he is begging for a bite of the apple Jess is eating.
And here he is enjoying some sweet potato (his favorite food) and broccoli. It makes for lovely green and orange flecks all over his face. At least he drinks from a glass without making too much of a mess (except for when he wants to).
The couple things he still can't eat are wheat and strawberries, they make him break out in a rash. (which we didn't take a picture of)

Baby Barometer
While it's not as cool as the classic old lady line "I know we're going to get 3.72 inches of rain at 4:39 pm because of the exact ache in my knee", we're able to predict the weather based on Garin's hair. See for yourself . . . (all these photos are from June and July, the hair goes back and forth depending on the weather - seriously)
Very dry air = very straight hair:
